Let’s have fun today! With this tarot spread, you’re going to let your Alter Ego come out and play.
Whether your alter ego is a corseted urban witch, a ethereal domestic fairy, a powerful warrior-mage, or just the smarter, braver, bolder version of yourself, your alter ego has guidance for you.
This tarot spread will help you communicate with your alter ego, whether that’s your secret inner drag queen or king, your secret super-hero self, or just your wiser inner self. It starts as a silly and ridiculous idea, but the action advice from your alter ego (in Card Four) will be a powerful reminder of how you can live your best life.
Reading the Tarot Spread
For the tarot spread, shuffle the cards any way you’d like and lay out four cards in the order shown on the journal page.
CARD ONE: What do I need to show?
This card represents the qualities, abilities, physical traits, or personality quirks that you need to show to the world as a representation of your best self.
CARD TWO: What do I need to cover up?
This card represents the qualities, abilities, physical traits, or personality quirks that you may want to downplay so that your positive qualities and traits will become more visible. These may also be elements that you consider “private secrets and mysteries” that you reserve for special people.
CARD THREE: Where is my mystery?
This card represents the qualities, abilities, physical traits, or personality quirks that draw others to you, even when you try to hide. Your mystery is a magnet that others want to uncover. No matter how much you try to hide this mystery, it always draws others in.
CARD FOUR: What advice does my alter ego have for me?
This card represents the specific and actionable advice your bolder, braver, and wiser alter ego has for you.
