Everyone, in every moment, is doing the best they can. When we make mistakes, hurt others, or harm ourselves, it is because we can think of no other, better option in that moment.

But once the moment passes, we gain perspective and wisdom, which can cause us to view our past choices with regret, shame, or hopelessness.

Reading the Tarot Spread

This tarot spread will guide you with compassion to forgiving yourself and others, so you can move forward with a healthier understanding in your future decisions.

For the tarot spread, shuffle the cards any way you’d like and lay out five cards in the order shown in the image above. Lay Card One face down.

CARD ONE (LAID FACE DOWN): What advice does my Higher Self have for me?
Leave this card face down until you have read Cards Two through Five. This card represents the guidance that your best and wisest self has for you, now you have the knowledge and understanding discovered through the other four cards.

CARD TWO: Who have I hurt?
This card represents the people you have hurt (intentionally or unintentionally).

CARD THREE: Who has hurt me?
This card represents the people who have hurt you (intentionally or unintentionally).

CARD FOUR: What mistakes do I need to forgive myself for?
This card represents the mistakes you’ve made that still haunt you. These are regrets and hold-overs from your past that you are unable to move on from.

CARD FIVE: What mistakes do I need to forgive others for?
This card represents the mistakes that others have made that still haunt you. These are bitter pains, hurts, and betrayals from your past that you are unable to move on from.
