We all have strengths and weaknesses, and we see those weaknesses as “areas of improvement” or “problems.” What if they weren’t problems? What if they were actually the necessary compliment to our strengths?
Oftentimes, our greatest strengths come with their own downsides.
For example, if your strength is your creativity, it’s likely you are sometimes flightly, day-dreaming, or living in your own world. Those “weaknesses” are directly attached to (and the flip-side of) your biggest strength! You can’t have one without the other.
This tarot spread will help you identify your strengths and weaknesses, and help you see how they benefit you and others. You may be surprised by what you discover!
Reading the Tarot Spread
For the tarot spread, shuffle the cards any way you’d like and lay out four cards in the order shown in the image above.
CARD ONE: How do my strengths help others?
This card represents the ways that your strengths help others, or could help others if you used them more often.
CARD TWO: How do my strengths help me?
This card represents the ways that your strengths help you.
CARD THREE: How do my weaknesses help me?
This card represents the ways that your weaknesses help you. They may be surprising! Remember, your weaknesses are often the “flip-side” of your strengths, so look at what you discovered in Cards One and Two for ideas.
CARD FOUR: How do my weaknesses help others?
This card represents the unexpected ways that your weaknesses actually benefit the people around you.
