Reading the Tarot Spread
For the tarot spread, shuffle the cards any way you’d like and lay out four cards in the order shown on the journal page.
CARD ONE: What resources do I need to be able to give more generously?
This card represents the resources you feel you need to be able to give more generously. Often, these will be phrased as, “I wish I could give more, but I don’t have enough…”
Yes, these are excuses!
CARD TWO: What benefits to I get by giving generously?
Use this card to identify the benefits you receive when you give generously. Consider both the internal/emotional benefits as well as the external/practical benefits. This can be seen as your WHY for giving.
CARD THREE: How do I prefer to give to others?
This card represents the ways you enjoy giving to others. This will include the types of things you prefer to give, but more importantly, it helps you identify the WAYS you like to give. For example, do you prefer to give anonymously? Do you always buy off a wishlist or registry? Do you enjoy gifting wrapped presents? How do you feel about giving gift cards? Think deeply here to identify your HOW.
CARD FOUR: What holds me back from giving to others?
This card represents the fears and excuses (see Card One!) that hold you back from being your truest, most generous self.
