Instead of eliminating a habit (which is very difficult), focus on changing your Habit Behavior for the better while maintaining the same Cue and Reward.
The Cue is the situation, time, person, event, or feeling that precedes the Habit Behavior you want to change. The Habit Behavior is the habit you’d like to implement or change. The Reward is the emotion or physical feeling you experience as a result of this Habit Behavior.

For the tarot spread, shuffle the cards any way you’d like and lay out five cards in the order shown in the image above.
CARD ONE: What is one habit that is holding me back?
This card represents one habit that is negatively impacting your life. It may be a behavior you are doing, not doing, doing too much of, or doing too little.
Before continuing, write down the Cues and Rewards you currently associate with this habit.
CARDS TWO THROUGH FIVE: How could I break out of this rut?
These cards represent four different action steps or Habit Behaviors you could take to change this habit.
Remember, to change any habit, it’s best to continue the same Cues and Rewards you are currently using. These four cards will help you brainstorm different ways to use your current Cues and Rewards using new Habit Behaviors.
