Reading the Tarot Spread
For the tarot spread, shuffle the cards any way you’d like and lay out four cards in the order shown on the journal page.
CARD ONE: What needs to end?
This card represents the habits, relationships, or actions that need to END. These are the choices and behaviors that are habitual but no longer give you comfort.
CARD TWO: What needs to start?
This card represents the habits, choices, or actions that will give you comfort and joy. These may be small actions or large projects. (They may also represent areas of your life you’ve tried to change in the past without success).
CARD THREE: What needs to change?
This card represents the habits, choices, actions, or relationships in your life that need to change so you can treat yourself better. Don’t keep flogging a dead horse. If it didn’t work in the past, TRY SOMETHING NEW.
CARD FOUR (LAID FACE DOWN): What is the next step?
After you’ve considered the answers to Cards One through Three, turn this one over and use it to brainstorm ONE action step that you can take within the next day to bring comfort and joy into your life.
